Switchfire
operates and manages sophisticated Dating, Operator –based
and WAP platforms, all hosted from our secure Server Farm
in London. The services differ in their nature but all can
be tailored to meet changing regulatory and commercial needs,
offering the ability to rapidly tailor (for example) billing
criteria or frequency, systems messages and warnings.
Dating
Switchfire’s technology solutions have been developed from
the user’s perspective rather than forcing the user to understand
our technology. Within our Dating platform, these solutions
involve two key pieces of technology
A Natural Language Processor
Written in Java, our Natural language Processor, is designed
to “read” inbound messages, extract the relevant data and
parse this data into the database that is used for finding
matches for people looking for other people or information.
Fuzzy Logic Matching Software
This means the user is presented with the person or piece
of information he is looking for quickly and efficiently
and in the format that he would like to view it. In personal
terms, this means users can be matched with others with
whom an extended dialogue is likely.
Operator Chat
Our Operator Chat platform utilises a sophisticated suite
of virtual call – centre software which is used by a global
operator pool of 300. This browser – based service means
we can offer true 24X7X24 coverage of services. Operators
are presented with comprehensive details of an incoming
text, including a call history and characteristics of the
Avatar personality the texter is in dialogue with, or with
whom he/she wishes to start a dialogue.
AnythingAnswered
A modified version of the same Virtual Call Centre with
a message queuing facility is used in our AnythingAnswered
suite. As the name suggests, any question can be texted
in and our operators – researchers, in this case – will
take a question from the queue and answer it if possible.
If they cannot, they can move the question to a specialised
queue where its nature (eg. Natural or Sporting) is flagged,
and it can be selected by someone with sector knowledge.
It shares its characteristics of versatility and extensibility
with the Operator Chat platform
WAP Services
Our image – based services – which include subscription
and dating products – are enabled through WAP pushes (SMS
messages with a URL within the header). Once an individual
has received one of these messages, they can access the
WAP content defined in the header. Billing is typically
executed through a premium reverse message. Subscription
versions of this service are extremely popular.
